
“la Caixa” Foundation has celebrated on November 5th in their headquarters in Barcelona, the 2018 Fellowship Award Ceremony for the “la Caixa” Postdoctoral Junior Leader Programme. Dr. Valle Palomo, researcher of the Structural and Chemical Biology department of Centro de Investigaciones Biológicas, was distinguished in this event together with other 29 young investigators. In the same ceremony, “la Caixa” Foundation has also awarded the 25 granted projects from the Health Research 2017 Call and the 20 that were selected within the CaixaImpulse Programme.
The Postdoctoral Junior Leader Programme, were Dr. Valle Palomo has been awarded with one of the fellowships in the Physical Sciences, Mathematics and Engineering area, was conceived to allow excellent young researchers to develop their scientific career in Spain with two objectives in mind: attract and retain talent.
The award ceremony was presided over by “la Caixa” Banking Foundation President, Isidre Fainé, the Portuguese Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education Manuel Heitor, Jaume Giró, CEO of the Foundation and Javier Solana, patron of “la Caixa” Foundation.
