Description
We are studying the toxicity of insecticides with different modes of action on a generalist pollinator, the bumblebee Bombus terrestris, in the short and long term. Furthermore, we are investigating the synergy between insecticides (neonicotinoids and pyrethroids) and SBI fungicides (sterol-biosynthesis inhibitors) in this species, as well as the variability in susceptibility to these products between wild and commercial bumblebees. We have also evaluated the role of wild pollinators in sunflower and how they contribute to crop yield.
