Dr. Ruth Pérez receives the V National Award for Young Group Leaders granted by the GEQB-RSEQ

The Chemical Biology Division of the Royal Spanish Chemical Society has awarded the “V National Award for Young Group Leaders” to Dr. Ruth Pérez Fernández, Biological Systems Chemistry group leader at the Centro de Investigaciones Biológicas Margarita Salas (CSIC).

Dr. Pérez Fernández has become internationally known for her pioneering work in protein-directed dynamic combinatorial chemistry aimed at discovering small molecules capable of modulating biological processes. To do this, her group has optimized different water-reversible chemistries that can be easily integrated into biological systems.

Dr. Pérez Fernández will give an invited lecture at the VII Biennial Meeting of the RSEQ-GEQB in Seville in 2024.
