The Center for Biological Research participates during the week of February 20, 2017 in the Interuniversity Master's Degree in "Drug Discovery", taking care of the teaching of the module "Methodologies for the study of phenomena of molecular recognition", whose classes are taught by researchers of different departments.
The opening session has included the invited conference "The sweet side of chemistry: sugars, NMR and molecular recognition", which has been taught by Prof. Jesús Jiménez Barbero, CIB researcher until the end of 2014 and since then, Scientific Director of the CICbioGUNE (Bilbao).
This Master is organized by the Faculties of Pharmacy of the Complutense, Alcalá and CEU San Pablo Universities, and in collaboration with several Institutes of the CSIC, including in addition to CIB the Institutes of Medicinal Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. This year, 35 students enrolled.
The Master in Pharmaceutical Discovery is a university course of training aimed for graduates in Pharmacy, Chemistry and other degrees included areas of Health Sciences and Experimental Sciences who want to be oriented towards research and discovery of drugs in Pharmaceutical companies and other companies or public or private research organizations.
